He has contributed his industry expertise to various TFIC projects including the Retail Benchmark Survey, the Agricultural Conversion Factors project, and as the Project Manager for the Supermarket Panel. As the Project Manager he supported the design, delivery and review of the Supermarket Panel project. He also plays an active role in the annual TFIC spring conference as well as working with students to develop their food indstury careers.
Jon is a part-time lecturer at the Carlson School of Management where he is teaching a course on Marketing Channels and Distribution. He has also led the FMI course, Managing the Total Store presented at the University of Minnesota.
Before starting Corporate Resource, Jon was the Vice President of Industry and Government Relations at SUPERVALU where he was responsible for Federal, State and Local government affairs. Previous responsibilities at SUPERVALU included acquisition evaluation and revising the company's freight and fee schedules. He is the past chair of The Food Marketing Institute Government Relations Committee, the past Co-Chair of Food Distributors' International Government Relations Committee, and a frequent speaker at food industry conventions and seminars.
